Changeling Theatre Company
The Hazlitt Theatre and The Changeling Theatre Company have worked in unison for nearly eight years, producing open air theatre of the highest quality in some of the most beautiful venues throughout Kent.
Artistic director Rob Forknall and Producer Mandy Hare’s aims when establishing this tour de force was to make Shakespeare accessible to all and, more importantly, enjoyed by an audience who might not otherwise be exposed to these great works in more formal surroundings.
Past productions have included, Romeo & Juliet, The Tempest, Much Ado about Nothing, Twelfth Night, Macbeth and The Importance of Being Earnest.
With an ever growing audience they have seen their venue numbers grow and now play throughout Kent to venues including: Boughton Monchelsea Place, Rochester Castle Gardens, Upnor Castle, The Friars at Alyesford Priory, Hermitage Millennium Amphitheatre, Fort Amherst and latest addition Port Lympne.
Hazlitt/Changeling productions have been described as vibrant, quirky, dramatic, poignant and funny. Each production is eagerly anticipated by ardent followers/ converts and is well received by theatre critics.
